
Oluwatosin Ajibade (born 19 July 1991), better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is the pioneer of Banku music, a fusion sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns. Mr Eazi relocated to Kumasi in 2008 and enrolled at KNUST, where he began booking artists to perform at college parties. He showed interest in music after recording a guest verse on “My Life”, a song that gained traction and became a popular record at KNUST. Mr Eazi released his debut mixtape About to Blow in July 2013. He gained an international audience following the release of the Efya-assisted single “Skin Tight”. His second mixtape Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra To Lagos was released on 10 February 2017. In March 2018, several outlets reported that Mr Eazi signed a record deal with Diplo’s label Mad Decent. Mr Eazi signed a licensing deal with Universal Africa, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.

J Derobie born Derrick Obuobie Jnr is a fast-rising Ghanaian dancehall artiste who idolizes afro-beat star Mr Eazi a lot and wants to be like him in the near future.
He was born in the Northern Region of Ghana, brought to Nungua, stayed at Midie for some time and he went back to the North to school. He returned to Accra after completing Dagbon Stage Senior High School for his senior high school level education.
J Derobie was among the few chosen for a project launched by Mr Eazi which was named the EMPAWA 100 project and promised to shoot music videos for 100 upcoming artists who were chosen. His song “Poverty” was his breakthrough. According to him, he started writing the song in June 2018 and couldn’t figure out an appropriate title for it until he settled on poverty since a lot of people were complaining about it. Before ‘Poverty’, he had released ‘Awuradee’, ‘Vim’ and ‘Odo Yewu.’

He is recognized as the fastest rapper in Africa.A tweet by Ghana’s reigning rapper of the year “Medikal” which got a lot of musical fans talking and arguing. The “Swag King Kong” tweeted as follows, “I Saved Ghanaian Rap Music From Dying Four Years Ago And I Promise To Keep It Alive”.
Sarkodie in an interview on 4syte TV was asked to come out with what he thinks about that statement by the ” Omo Ada” hit maker.He said as follows “I don’t feel disrespected nor hurt. As a rapper you have to believe in yourself. Medikal might be right with what he is saying or might have a reason for saying that.” Sarkodie continued to say that it’s very necessary as a rapper to believe in whatever you do so such statements are normal.
